Sharing Christ’s love with others is something all believers should pursue! Sharing His love comes in many forms whether it be visiting someone who is ill, praying alongside someone who is facing a tough time, praising God with others as He answers prayers, taking a meal to a family in need, investing time in your relationships, sharing the message of eternal life with a friend or acquaintance who has not yet accepted Christ as their Savior, or simply inviting a friend or neighbor to Cornerstone Church. Certainly, the list goes on. My encouragement to each of you would be to have your eyes wide open for the opportunities Christ brings to you…daily. This speaks to my own heart too as I know how busy life gets …How we are oftentimes trying to figure out how we are going to accomplish all of our “to dos” for the day or week. And, yes, our “to do” list may very well be filled with all good things. Yet, I am reminded that we simply need to carve out intentional time to be still with the Lord, seek His will for our days, and be open to opportunities to share His love each day. When we have our eyes firmly fixed on Him, our vision for what’s most important will be much sharper.
One area of our Women’s Ministry is the Circle of Friends group which is led by Dottie Fox. Circle of Friends ministry is designed to nurture, support and encourage widows. This year’s theme has been based on Proverbs 3:5-6; as these women continue to keep their focus on trusting God in this very tender season, they have had a great time of fellowship with one another and most importantly with God. At April’s meeting, Circle of Friends was dedicated to sharing Christ’s love with others. Approximately 45 women were in attendance; each of the ladies created cards and bookmarks designed to encourage women and remind them of God’s great love for them. These cards, along with flower arrangements designed by Dottie, will be distributed with love and prayer to women who are currently “shut ins” due to illnesses as well as to Cornerstone women who are currently residing in assisted living facilities. What a great way to impact others with the love of Christ!
